Before your trip: planning help and video guidance
- Check which way you can enter China, and pick flights that keep Hainan's 30-day visa-free entry valid.
- WeChat sign-up often needs an existing WeChat user to scan a code to verify you. I can do that scan for you.
- Send you my personal QR code privately for a ¥1 test payment.
- Suggest a Hainan itinerary that fits your days and interests.
In Hainan: a local friend with you
- Meet you at the airport and get your taxis and payments working on day one.
- Book DiDi or a licensed car service with a driver for you, and come along. Haikou, Sanya, Wanning, the rainforest: anywhere on the island.
- Take you to places locals eat, and help you order and translate.
- Book attraction and train tickets.
- Go with you to the police station to register if you stay with friends or in a private rental.
- Use my Chinese phone number to take calls from food-delivery riders and drivers, contact your hotel, and call Chinese numbers for you.
- Go with you to a hospital if you get sick.
Not just these: if anything in Hainan is inconvenient or you can't sort it out yourself, ask me.
For your safety: I'll never ask for your passwords, payment PIN, verification codes or card details. On a video call, you do every step yourself.
Questions
Are you a tour guide?
No. I'm a Hainan local who helps as a friend. I don't offer tour-guide services and I don't drive you myself; for rides I book DiDi or a licensed car service with a driver and come along.
How much does it cost?
Chatting is free. Tell me what you need on WhatsApp and I'll tell you the cost first; nothing starts until you agree. Rides, tickets and meals you pay directly to the driver, platform or shop.
Where can you go with me?
Anywhere on Hainan island: Haikou, Sanya, Wanning, Qionghai, the rainforest and more.
Do I need WeChat to contact you?
No, WhatsApp is all you need. In Hainan, when something needs a Chinese phone call (contacting your hotel, or calls from drivers and delivery riders), you can give my Chinese number and I'll take and make those calls.
Will you ask for my passwords?
Never. On a video call you do every step yourself, and you never need to share passwords, payment PINs, codes or card details.
